Job Summary

Own and drive the social media program for Young Ummah Stories, shaping content for Instagram and TikTok, managing a monthly calendar, and expanding the community through outreach and proactive engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Create and schedule engaging content for Instagram and TikTok.
  • Design eye-catching graphics, reels, and carousel posts using Canva or similar software.
  • Write compelling captions that align with the brand's Islamic values and voice.
  • Develop and maintain a monthly social media content calendar.
  • Grow social media following through organic engagement and community management.
  • Respond to comments and direct messages in a professional and timely manner.
  • Reach out to authors, influencers, and content creators to promote our books.
  • Identify and work with Muslim parenting and education influencers.
  • Monitor social media trends and adapt content to maximise reach.

Preferred

  • Experience and knowledge of social media, primarily instagram and tiktok
  • Excellent copywriting and communication skills.
  • Experience creating short-form video content (Reels and TikTok).
  • Proficiency in Canva or a similar software
