Social Media Assistant

Responsibilities

• Scheduling and publishing content across client social media accounts
• Keeping content calendars accurate, organised and up to date
• Supporting the creation of social media content
• Uploading Reels, posts, carousels and Stories
• Supporting community management and engagement
• Coordinating content, imagery, video and other digital assets
• Supporting social media analytics and reporting
• Assisting with general social media and account administration
• Supporting content capture at the MAE Media studio and occasionally at client locations
• Working closely with the Director to ensure content is delivered accurately and on time

Requirements

• Confident using and understanding platforms such as Instagram and TikTok
• Familiar with tools such as Meta Business Suite, Canva and CapCut
• Comfortable capturing basic photo and video content on a phone and carrying out straightforward edits in Canva or CapCut
• Naturally organised and comfortable managing multiple tasks and deadlines
• Creative, with a good eye for what works visually on social media
• Someone who keeps up with social trends and understands how different brands need to show up differently online
• A strong written communicator with good attention to detail
• Comfortable working independently as well as closely with a small team
• Proactive and happy to take ownership of the tasks you are responsible for
• Reliable, approachable and willing to get stuck in

Preferred

• Previous experience in social media, content creation or marketing would be beneficial, but it is not essential. We are equally interested in finding somebody organised, creative and reliable who has the right attitude and wants to develop a career in social media.
