Job Summary

Own the search engine visibility engine by shaping the end-to-end SEO program, collaborating with content teams, and driving measurable organic growth across on-page, technical, and performance analytics to outperform competitors.

  • Own SEO strategy and cross-functional leadership to align content, site architecture, and technical fixes with business goals.
  • Collaborate with content creators and manage WordPress-based SEO implementation to improve rankings and traffic.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Lead and direct the company on SEO strategy
  • Manage content delivery with our content team
  • Develop and execute comprehensive SEO strategies to improve search engine rankings and increase organic traffic.
  • Conduct keyword research and optimise website content, metadata, and images accordingly.
  • Manage and update content management systems such as WordPress to ensure SEO best practices are implemented effectively.
  • Analyse website performance using Google Search Console and Google Analytics; generate reports to inform optimisation efforts.
  • Implement technical SEO improvements including HTML, CSS, JavaScript adjustments, and site structure enhancements.
  • Monitor and optimise website speed, mobile responsiveness, and overall user experience.
  • Utilise Google Tag Manager for tracking conversions, events, and other key metrics.
  • Collaborate with content creators to develop engaging content that aligns with SEO objectives.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an SEO Manager or similar role within a digital marketing environment (3+ years). Note; we would also consider candidates looking for their first step into a senior role.
  • Proficiency in using Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and Google Tag Manager or similar for data analysis and reporting.
  • Demonstrable understanding of metadata optimisation and on-page SEO techniques.
  • Familiarity with technical website audits and implementing technical fixes to enhance site performance.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
  • Strong understanding of Woocommerce
  • Strong writing ability
  • Experience in an e-commerce setting
  • Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and WordPress / Woocommerce content management systems (coding is not a requirement)

Preferred

  • Direct experience in the vape or other regulated industry
  • Agency experience working on high level clients
  • Experience in a startup / high responsibility role
