Responsibilities

• leading our team of dedicated Communications Officers working across PR, marketing, and digital communication
• developing communication plans with service teams
• protecting our reputation in emergency and crisis situations
• advise our senior management team and elected Members
• developing excellent working relationships with local media and other stakeholders
• support the production of our highly popular borough magazine, weekly staff newsletter and other literature
• our brand is important to us, and you will support us to visualise and embed our new values, priorities, and vision
• flexible, manage conflicting priorities and work well under pressure when needed

Requirements

• exceptional communication skills
• ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across the council
• full UK driving licence
• flexible and able to manage conflicting priorities and work under pressure
