About the role
The Senior Communications Manager will lead and deliver high quality internal and external communications across EMEA and the Americas, ensuring clarity, consistency and cultural alignment during a period of organisational change, regional integration and increased leadership visibility.
The role will act as the regional communications lead, closely aligned to global messaging and standards, while providing senior, trusted communications support to leaders in region.
Key Responsibilities Include:
1. External Communications
Act as the regional press office lead for EMEA and the Americas with a primary focus on the UK market and supporting global media office management and monitoring.
Manage proactive and reactive media engagement in partnership with Global media team and local PR agencies as required.
Provide reputation counsel to in-market teams on emerging issues and marketing campaigns and launches, in line with Vinarchy’s Global Marketing code.
Ensure strong alignment between corporate, brand and regional messaging.
2. Internal Communications
Own and deliver EMEA & Americas internal communications, aligned to global strategy, tone and channel standards.
Lead local news generation and storytelling, ensuring key milestones, launches and business updates are captured and visible.
Manage regional channel execution (intranet, email, newsletters, town halls in line with the agreed channel strategy.
3. Leadership & Stakeholder Partnership
Serve as a trusted communications advisor to regional leaders.
Provide clear guidance, drafting and counsel on sensitive, complex or high profile communications.
Partner regional Managing Directors as required on media/event preparation and interview support.
Ensure communications elevate leadership credibility and reinforce organisational priorities.
4. Ways of Working & Best Practice
Operate as part of a single global communications ecosystem, not a standalone regional function.
Bring structure, judgement and prioritisation to a high-volume environment.
Contribute to continuous improvement of communications effectiveness and impact.
What You'll Bring:
Proven experience in both Internal and External Communications (5+ years), with the ability to develop and deliver communication strategies across multiple channels and audiences.
Strong media relations and reputation management experience, including proactive communications, reactive issue management, and engagement with journalists, agencies and external stakeholders.
Experience partnering with senior leaders and executives, providing trusted communications counsel, messaging support and guidance on sensitive or high-profile matters.
Ability to operate effectively in a complex, multi-region environment, balancing global communications frameworks with local market requirements.
Demonstrated experience leading change, transformation or integration communications, helping employees navigate organisational change and business priorities.
Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the confidence to challenge constructively, build alignment and drive communications outcomes across multiple functions.
Background in FMCG, consumer goods, retail, healthcare, financial services, or another highly regulated industry preferred, with an understanding of managing communications within complex regulatory environments.
