Your Role as Senior Account Manager:

To facilitate the seamless execution of client projects and strategic initiatives within the agency. They serve as a pivotal link between the client, internal teams, and external partners, ensuring that all integrated marketing and digital activities are delivered with excellence.

As a senior producer, you'll oversee the execution of projects within your portfolio of key client partnerships. This involves collaborating closely with internal teams to ensure that projects are managed effectively, delivered on time and within budget, and align with the client's objectives and overall brand strategy.

Your responsibilities include not only managing the day-to-day operations of client projects but also providing strategic guidance to both clients and internal teams. You'll work closely with the senior account manager to drive forward-thinking initiatives that exceed client expectations and contribute to the long-term success of the agency-client relationship.

Your role is crucial in maintaining strong client relationships and fostering a collaborative environment within the agency. By ensuring exceptional service delivery and strategic alignment, you'll play a vital role in driving client satisfaction and agency growth.

Duties & Responsibilities

Client Relationship Management

Working with the Account Director or Head of Client Services, you are a critical ambassador for the client partner within the agency, serving as the primary point of contact for senior-level client stakeholders and our agency, fostering strong and trusted partnerships. You will need to breakdown and understand client objectives, challenges, and industry trends to proactively provide strategic recommendations and solutions to the client, as well as help educate and inform other members of the MTM team.

  • Manage the day-to-day client partner relationship through effective communication, problem solving and responding to requests in a timely manner

  • Provide regular communication, both in-person and online, to ensure that the client partners needs and objectives are being met, and that they are satisfied with our work and exceeding expectations

  • Where appropriate, actively try to get to know your client partners on a personal level

Strategic Planning

  • Develop and implement comprehensive account strategies aligned with client goals and agency capabilities. Identify opportunities for account growth, upselling additional services, and expanding client reach

  • Collaborate with the internal teams to develop effective marketing plans and roadmaps including conducting research and analysing data

  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of the client’s market environment

  • Work to create proactive opportunities for the agency and the client partner, collaborating with other agency teams to identify new ideas

Project Management & Team Collaboration

  • Manage a diverse range of large-scale projects, campaigns, and on-going retainers, including responsibility for timelines, budgets, and deliverables, communicating, and seeking approval of any changes to these

  • Lead cross-functional teams to execute integrated marketing and digital campaigns that meet or exceed client expectations. Foster collaboration among internal teams, including creative, digital marketing, PR, development, and account services, to ensure seamless project execution

  • Keep internal project management systems up-to-date and ensure projects and tasks are delivered on time

  • Shape client briefs and lead the creation of creative and thorough internal briefs or user stories for the agency’s teams

  • Ensure all work is delivered with a creative approach and to the highest possible standard and to agreed KPIs

  • Analyse campaign performance to optimise results

Reporting

  • Monitor campaign performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success and identify areas for improvement

  • Work with internal teams to provide regular campaign performance reporting and insights to clients, showcasing the impact of agency efforts on their business objectives

  • Ensure the presentation of results is delivered in a clear and concise manner

  • Lead proactive recommendations for future campaigns

  • Organise and lead meetings, setting agendas to ensure things run to plan

  • Provide meeting summaries/notes to client partners following meetings so decisions and next actions are recorded

Financial Management

  • Oversee project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget constraints. Proactively manage project risks and escalate issues as needed to maintain project momentum

  • Deliver growth and retained margins, which are agreed with the management teams

  • Lead the creation of project proposals and estimates to ensure we charge clients accurately, maintaining projections and updating finance systems as required

  • Proactively grow client accounts through new business opportunities and market research

  • Support agency new business participating in client partner pitches

Leadership and mentorship

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to account executive and account management team members, fostering their professional growth and development. Lead by example, demonstrating a commitment to excellence and a proactive approach to problem-solving

Other responsibilities

  • Undertake continuing professional development and mandatory training, to ensure you keep your knowledge, expertise and experience up to date

  • To present and promote a professional public image in representing the agency

  • To undertake any other duties that may reasonably be required, appropriate with the post

  • You may be expected to participate in events and promotions where the team requires representation; sometimes helping with the organisation of the events upfront. Some of these may be outside of your normal working hours

  • Participation in the Agency Appraisal Scheme and undertaking any professional development as identified with your line manager

  • To adhere to the company handbook and comply with relevant legislation

Experience & Knowledge

Essential

  • Extensive of experience in account management within an agency environment or marketing experience operating at a similar level, overseeing campaigns and projects

  • Proven track record of successfully managing client relationships and delivering strategic solutions that drive business impact

  • A strong understanding of integrated marketing principles and digital marketing channels

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Remaining resilient and positive in difficult situations

Desirable

  • Leadership experience, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams

  • Excellent working knowledge of industry best-practice and emerging trends/technologies

  • Proficiency with MS Office and various business software e.g CRM systems

  • Experience of using Website CMS systems i.e. WordPress, Epi Server, Kontent etc.

  • Good level of understanding of Google Analytics, Google Ads and Meta Suite

  • Proficiency of using project management tools such as Monday.com and MS DevOps

  • BSc/BA in brand, marketing, communications, business or relevant field

  • Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant service area
