Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Marketing and communications strategy
  • - Develop, implement and evaluate the marketing and communications plan aligned to the Hospice’s strategic priorities.
  • - Identify opportunities to increase profile, awareness, engagement, service uptake and income through integrated marketing campaigns.
  • - Monitor communication trends and sector best practice, recommending innovative approaches where appropriate.
  • - Responsible for effectively managing the marketing and communications budget.
  • - Prepare regular reports demonstrating performance against agreed objectives and key performance indicators.
  • Brand management
  • - Act as guardian of the Primrose Hospice brand.
  • - Ensure consistency of messaging, design and tone across all communications.
  • - Support the development and implementation of brand guidelines.

Requirements

  • GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent).
  • Relevant qualification in marketing, communications, PR, journalism or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience in a marketing, communications, PR or digital marketing role.
  • Experience planning and delivering multi-channel marketing campaigns.
  • Experience managing social media platforms and wordpress websites.
  • Experience creating engaging written content for diverse audiences.
  • Experience using email marketing platforms and digital communication tools.
  • Experience monitoring and evaluating campaign performance.
  • Experience working with a range of stakeholders and building positive relationships.
  • Essential knowledge and skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred

  • Desirable experience
  • Experience working within a charity, healthcare or hospice environment.
  • Experience using CRM systems.
  • Experience in media relations and public affairs.
  • Experience shooting and editing videos using Adobe Premiere Pro or other video editing software.
  • Experience working with designers, photographers and external agencies.
  • Knowledge of fundraising communications.
