Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver marketing campaigns that increase awareness, engagement and participation across all of SPACE’s services, including family support, workshops, children’s activities, Lending SPACE, Alternative Provision, paid services and fundraising.
  • Lead on SPACE’s social media presence, planning, creating and scheduling engaging content that grows our audiences, promotes our services and strengthens engagement with families, professionals, volunteers and supporters.
  • Create high-quality marketing content across digital and print, including copy, graphics, photography and video for social media, email marketing, the website and promotional materials.
  • Manage and develop SPACE’s digital communications, including the website and email newsletters, ensuring content is accurate, engaging and up to date.
  • Attend occasional services, events and activities to capture photographs, videos, testimonials and impact stories that showcase the difference SPACE makes.
  • Monitor marketing performance and identify opportunities to improve awareness, engagement, bookings and participation.
  • Work collaboratively across the charity, particularly with the Community Fundraising & Partnerships Manager to maintain a consistent brand and maximise engagement across all areas of SPACE.

Requirements

  • Experience in a marketing or communications role.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Confidence using Canva and managing social media platforms.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong IT skills and confidence in learning new software packages and digital tools.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
  • A collaborative approach and enthusiasm for working as part of a small team.
  • A flexible approach to working hours when necessary (some evening and weekend working is likely to be required)
  • Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.

Preferred

  • Experience using Mailchimp and WordPress (or similar).
  • Photography and/or basic video editing skills.
  • Experience in the charity, education or public sector.
  • An understanding of SEND or a willingness to learn.
