Marketing & Business Development Officer

Responsibilities

• Social Media & Content
• Support the planning and delivery of social media content, including day-to-day content creation, publishing and audience engagement.
• Manage social media channels relevant to Chinese and UK/European audiences, including Xiaohongshu, WeChat Channels, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube, adapting content formats and promotional approaches to each platform and its target audience.
• Develop content ideas, write copy and video scripts, and carry out filming and basic editing to produce visual posts and video content for different channels.
• Work with our accounting and tax professionals to understand our services and produce accurate, accessible content, with technical review before publication.
• Monitor content performance, including views, engagement and enquiries, and recommend improvements.
• Track effective content examples, platform trends and audience feedback to inform future marketing activities.
• Marketing & Events
• Support online and offline marketing activities and prepare promotional materials, event communications and other marketing collateral.
• Assist with the planning and delivery of talks, seminars, webinars, client events and business networking activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing or a related field
• Practical experience in social media management and content creation, supported by examples of accounts, content or campaigns you have worked on, with a clear explanation of your contribution.
• Familiarity with Chinese social media, particularly Xiaohongshu and WeChat Channels, and an understanding of platforms commonly used in UK/European markets, including LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube.
• Strong Chinese-language content skills and English proficiency suitable for day-to-day work, content creation and business communication.
• Ability to support filming, basic video editing and visual content production.
• A willingness and ability to learn about UK accounting, tax and professional services, and communicate professional information clearly to client audiences.
• Strong organisational, communication and execution skills, with the ability to coordinate event details and manage multiple tasks.

Preferred

• Experience independently managing a social media account, with demonstrable results in audience growth, engagement or enquiries.
• Event planning, on-site delivery or supplier coordination experience.
• Business development, client communication, partnership development or preparation of business documents.
• Familiarity with Canva, Jianying/CapCut, Adobe or other content production tools.
• Marketing experience in professional services, B2B environments or with Chinese- and English-speaking audiences.
