Graduate Management - Leadership Development
BasePoint | Full-time | London (On-site)
Compensation: £25,000 - £45,000 OTE
About The Role
Your degree gives you knowledge. Your first role should give you experience.
BasePoint's Graduate Management Programme is for graduates who want to build commercial, communication and leadership experience in a hands-on environment, with a clear route towards leading a team.
Rather than stepping straight into a management title, you'll learn how the operation works from the ground up, starting with customer acquisition and campaign delivery before developing into coaching, coordination and team leadership. Team leaders here are accountable for their team's results and for the growth of the people in it, and we believe the best way to prepare for that is to have done the job first.
Stage 1: Learn the Business
Your initial development focuses on the fundamentals, working directly within our field-based campaigns:
- Face-to-face customer engagement
- Sales and customer acquisition
- Professional communication
- Brand representation
- Campaign delivery
- Personal performance and goal setting
This gives you practical experience of the operation before you take on responsibility for others.
Stage 2: Develop Into Leadership
Once you've shown consistency in the fundamentals, your development expands into people development and management:
- Mentoring and supporting newer team members
- Coaching and performance development
- Team coordination
- Campaign planning
- Leadership and people management
Graduates who find they're more motivated by commercial performance than by managing people can instead continue developing towards Sales Executive responsibilities.
Progression is based on performance and demonstrated capability, not a guaranteed timeframe.
Who We're Looking For
We're open to graduates from all degree disciplines. You may be particularly suited to the programme if you:
- Want practical commercial and leadership experience early in your career
- Enjoy working with and developing other people
- Are ambitious, competitive and receptive to feedback
- Want responsibility to increase as your capability increases
- Prefer an active working environment to spending every day behind a desk
- Have an interest in sales, business, leadership or people development
- Are available full-time and able to work on-site in London
Previous professional experience isn't required.
