Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Hiring the specialist team You will be responsible for sourcing, interviewing and hiring the PPC/Funnels Specialist and the Social/Content Specialist described below. This is the first task in the role, and you will own this end to end, we will not be recruiting these positions ourselves. We will support with our vision.
  • Strategy and direction Working in alignment with the business owners, you will set the overall marketing plan, prioritise where effort goes each month, and make sure every channel, website, funnels, ads, content, email and social, ties back to lead generation rather than activity for its own sake.
  • Directing specialist freelancers You will not be doing all the hands on execution yourself. You will brief, direct and quality control two specialist freelancers: * A PPC and funnels specialist handling Google Ads and ClickFunnels builds. Responsible for building our lead generation assets and building the funnels. Responsible for building the automated follow ups and weekly broadcast emails to our email list. * A social and content specialist handling daily social scheduling, images, carousels, video, blog writing and website. You are responsible for making sure their output is on strategy, on brand, and driving leads, not just busy work.
  • Website You will direct the ongoing evolution of our website as a genuine lead capture tool, applying the StoryBrand framework so it speaks to the customer's problem first and gives a clear next step. The website will become a lead capture machine under your guidance and not just a pretty catalogue.
  • Blog and case studies You will oversee blog content following the They Ask, You Answer approach, and the creation and publishing of case studies that build trust and support the sales process. All blogs lead back to lead capture links relevant for the content written within the blog.
  • Email marketing You will oversee automated follow up sequences triggered by new leads, and ongoing nurture campaigns to our existing list.
  • Social media brand direction Our brand should not feel corporate. We want personality, a bit of tongue in cheek humour, and a fun tone, think the style of Lidl or Aldi's social campaigns rather than a typical B2B feed. We want to stand out without taking ourselves too seriously. You will set this direction and hold the content specialist to it.
  • Reporting and the sales meeting You will track and report on leads generated, cost per lead, conversion rates through the funnel, email performance and social growth. You will join our weekly sales meeting to report on this data and talk through upcoming campaigns and plans.

Requirements

  • Proven marketing management or leadership experience, ideally having run a lead generation focused function before
  • Experience sourcing, hiring and onboarding freelance or contract marketing talent
  • Strong understanding of ClickFunnels, Google Ads, email marketing and social content, enough to brief and quality check specialists even if you are not doing the hands on work yourself
  • Experience with the StoryBrand framework, or a genuine willingness to apply it to our site
  • Comfortable with marketing analytics and reporting, able to turn data into clear recommendations for a sales team
  • A track record of directing freelancers or small teams to deliver against a strategy
  • Confident representing marketing performance in a commercial meeting alongside sales
