Job Summary

Own a startup-like brand and launch rhythm for Delano London, shaping authentic lifestyle storytelling across pre-opening marketing, PR, partnerships, and local engagement to fuel demand and premium guest experiences.

  • Brand & Campaign Execution: Build pre-opening marketing and PR programs that generate awareness, anticipation, and a distinctive luxury positioning.
  • Cross-Functional Activation: Align marketing with Sales, Revenue, F&B, and Operations to drive revenue, guest experience, and brand consistency.
  • Local Relevance & Experiences: Create a local Kensington/London community strategy and activate key experiences with clear stories and commercial plans.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • It goes without saying that you need to have a deep understanding of lifestyle communities. You will need to get under the skin of the brand and property to drive insightful ideas, partnerships and opportunities that build cultural relevance and authenticity.
  • Develop and execute the pre-opening brand marketing plan for Delano London, ensuring we build the right awareness, anticipation and positioning ahead of launch.
  • Lead the hotel’s PR, communications, content, social media and partnership approach, working closely with internal teams, brand, Ennismore, agencies and ownership where required.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive pre-opening marketing and PR campaigns to generate buzz and awareness, including partnering with creative agencies and internal teams to make this happen.
  • Develop and implement long-term marketing strategies, including supporting brand positioning efforts to differentiate the hotel in a competitive London luxury market.
  • Build a clear local marketing and community engagement approach, ensuring Delano London is relevant to both international travellers and the local Kensington / London audience.
  • Support the positioning and activation of the hotel’s key experiences, including rooms, Lana Lusa, Rose Bar, private dining, events and wellbeing, ensuring each has a clear story and commercial plan.
  • We always balance the heart and the head, so you will work with our commercial teams to drive revenue, manage budgets, set metrics and assess data and effectiveness of plans.
  • Partner closely with Sales, Revenue, F&B and Operations to ensure marketing activity is aligned with business priorities, key feeder markets, launch timelines and revenue opportunities.
  • We are all about delivering the best hospitality for our guests. To do this you will work with our operations teams, defining the brand experience and standards and ensuring that they are brought to life at every guest touch point.

Requirements

  • Strong brand marketing experience, ideally gained within luxury, lifestyle, hospitality, travel, members clubs, fashion, beauty, restaurants or culturally relevant brands.
  • Experience in hospitality isn’t a must, but we do want you to be genuinely interested in our industry; whether that’s a love for a delicious meal, a decent drink, a cozy bed or a travel adventure.
  • A passionate brand guardian who cares about every creative detail with no compromise.
  • Pre-opening, launch or brand build experience would be a real advantage.
  • A strong understanding of PR, social media, partnerships, content, local marketing and the role these play in building relevance for a luxury lifestyle hotel.
  • A balance between a methodical, process and results driven approach and flexibility and creativity when it comes to juggling multiple priorities, meeting deadlines and finding solutions.
  • You are comfortable with the strategic as well as day to day detail.
  • You are commercially minded and able to connect brand activity to awareness, demand, revenue and guest experience.
  • You are an excellent relationship builder, confident in working with other teams, leaders and ownership; you’re passionate about what we can achieve together.
  • Culturally aware and globally minded, able to inspire teams in diverse, international environments.

Preferred

  • Pre-opening, launch or brand build experience would be a real advantage.
