Job Description

Responsibilities

  • The Digital Communications Manager (Maternity Cover) will play a crucial role in promoting IGC, its ideas for growth, research findings, and policy advice to IGC’s key audiences through our digital products and platforms, and social media channels.
  • Managing external contractors, they will drive IGC’s digital communications activities.
  • The role will support the IGC’s transition to a decentralised, digitally enabled communications approach, helping country teams to communicate effectively and independently through accessible digital systems, templates, workflows, and guidance.
  • The role will also lead the adoption of AI-supported and automated communications workflows.

Requirements

  • Significant experience delivering digital communications across websites, social media and email, including creating engaging multimedia content.
  • Experience using AI and digital innovation to improve communications and workflows.
  • Experience developing and managing digital content strategies, ideally within a research, policy or international development environment.
  • Strong website management experience, including CMS administration (preferably Drupal), analytics (GA4/Google Analytics), SEO and user experience.
  • Experience leading or supporting colleagues, and working collaboratively in multidisciplinary and international teams.
