Job Summary

Own and coordinate community marketing across the Tour de France Grand Depart routes, partner engagement, storytelling and local activations, while measuring impact and ensuring alignment with the national campaign.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Managing relationships with Local Authority marketing and communications teams across host locations along the Tour de France Grand Départ and Tour de France Femmes routes.
  • Supporting partners to develop and deliver local marketing activity aligned with the overarching Grand Départ campaign and brand.
  • Monitoring community activation across the route, identifying opportunities, sharing best practice and providing support where required.
  • Ensuring campaign consistency and brand alignment across partner activity, communications and local activations.
  • Identifying and developing opportunities to increase community participation, awareness and engagement before, during and after the event.
  • Working closely with the Digital and Social Manager to identify and develop compelling community stories, local champions and social impact case studies.
  • Supporting the promotion of the Tour de France Grand Départ Social Impact Programme JOY, ensuring activities and outcomes are celebrated across host locations.
  • Collaborating with the Digital Production Officer to feed a regular pipeline of content opportunities into digital, social and owned channels.
  • Supporting the development and delivery of community marketing toolkits, guidance and resources for partners.
  • Tracking and reporting on partner activity, participation and engagement to help measure campaign impact and effectiveness.

Requirements

  • You thrive as part of a creative, fast-paced team, building positive relationships with colleagues, riders, fans, and external partners.
  • You have 3-5 years experience, bringing a proactive, can-do attitude and a hunger to learn.
  • You are an excellent relationship builder who enjoys working with a diverse range of stakeholders and partners to achieve common goals.
  • You have experience managing multi-partner marketing campaigns, community programmes or place-based initiatives and understand how to balance local priorities with national campaign objectives.
  • You are highly organised and comfortable overseeing activity across multiple locations, ensuring projects stay on track and opportunities are maximised.
  • You have a strong understanding of brand management and campaign delivery and can confidently support partners to align their activity with agreed messaging, visual identity and strategic goals.
  • You have a natural instinct for spotting opportunities, uncovering compelling stories and connecting people, projects and partnerships that can enhance the impact of a campaign.
  • You are motivated by making a difference and are passionate about celebrating the positive impact major events can have on communities.
  • Knowledge of cycling is a bonus, but more important is your ability to identify and develop opportunities that drive participation, create community pride and generate meaningful engagement.
