Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Developing and delivering a proactive consumer and lifestyle media strategy aligned to UK communications priorities, and building strong relationships with journalists, editors and key media stakeholders
  • Identifying, shaping and landing compelling stories that turn complex science and disease areas into accessible, culturally relevant narratives, and maintaining a forward-looking pipeline of features and media moments
  • Designing and leading influencer and creator engagement strategies – including selection, vetting, management and evaluation – ensuring full compliance with the ABPI Code of Practice and internal governance
  • Building a strong bank of media-ready assets, case studies and spokesperson materials, and sharing best practice to lift media and influencer capability across the wider team
  • Monitoring media, cultural and social trends to spot opportunities, anticipate reputational risks and feed insight back into campaign planning.
  • Partnering with cross-functional teams across marketing, medical, legal and regulatory to shape integrated, earned-first campaigns that resonate with public audiences
  • Contributing to the weekly media rota, monitoring and responding to media enquiries and coverage
