Job Summary

Own the social media and digital fundraising narrative, turning audits, trend spot checks, and volunteer management into a cohesive content engine that drives donor engagement and education across channels.

  • Content strategy and channel setup: lead the plan and coordinate rollout to optimize fundraising impact.
  • Audits and competitive insights: assess channels and implement improvements based on peers and trends.
  • Volunteer management and brand voice: guide social media volunteers and enforce DEA tone across all posts.

Job Description

  • Develop communications content to inspire new and existing donors, leading to increased individual giving.
  • Conduct a full audit of existing social media channels and provide insights and optimizations based on competitor analysis.
  • Create a comprehensive strategy including content analysis, channel strategy, and setup.
  • Stay updated on emerging trends in digital communications and recommend new channels for fundraising and audience engagement.
  • Engage existing supporters, reach new donors, and co-create original, impactful content to inspire and educate.
  • Manage the social media volunteers in areas such as design, digital marketing, and fundraising to ensure projects are completed on time and meet standards.
  • Review and edit content to ensure adherence to brand guidelines, acting as an expert on DEA’s tone of voice.
  • Monitor channels, respond to messages, and engage with the community to foster a supportive online presence.
  • Proficiency in social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn) and digital marketing tools.
  • Strong copywriting and editing skills, with attention to detail and adherence to brand guidelines.
  • Ability to develop and execute comprehensive digital marketing strategies.
  • Competency in data analysis and reporting to measure the effectiveness of campaigns.
  • Knowledge of SEO, content marketing, and email marketing.
  • Previous experience in a digital marketing or social media management role.
  • Experience in creating and managing content calendars.
  • Familiarity with running paid advertising campaigns on social media platforms.
  • Experience in engaging and growing online communities.
