Job Summary

Own a compact, end-to-end pet marketing machine: own social content, local promotions, and events while keeping every activity compliant with UK rules.

  • Social & Content Ownership: drive on-brand posts and community engagement across core channels.
  • Local Promotions & Events: accelerate footfall, bookings, and lovable pet-friendly events with end-to-end planning.
  • Compliance & Community Care: maintain GDPR, advertising standards, and platform guidelines across campaigns.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Social Media Management: Own and grow our presence on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and Twitter/X with on-brand content that pet parents love to share.
  • Local Shop Promotion: Develop and execute creative marketing initiatives to attract customers to our physical locations, boost walk-ins, and increase service bookings.
  • Online Promotion & Digital Marketing: Run targeted ad campaigns (Meta Ads, Google Ads), manage SEO and local listings, and explore influencer collaborations to drive traffic and sales.
  • Event Planning & Execution: Dream up and organise pet-friendly events from Puppy Socials to seasonal parties and fundraisers; handle logistics and on-the-day management.
  • Community Engagement: Respond to comments, messages, and reviews with warmth and professionalism, building a loyal community of pet owners.
  • Rule-Savvy Content: Ensure all activities comply with UK advertising standards, GDPR, data protection, and platform guidelines.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a marketing, social media, or digital operations role (experience in the pet, lifestyle or service industry is a huge plus).
  • In-depth knowledge of UK social media platforms, trends, and operating rules – you know what works on British feeds and what doesn’t.
  • Excellent written English with a knack for creating warm, pun-friendly, and persuasive copy.
  • Hands-on skills with content creation tools (Canva, CapCut, or similar) and basic analytics.
  • Highly organised, self-driven, and comfortable juggling multiple campaigns and event timelines.
  • A genuine love for animals – you’ll smile at every wagging tail and purring client.

Preferred

  • Chinese language skills (Mandarin or Cantonese) – we serve a wonderfully diverse community, and bilingual ability helps us connect even more deeply with clients and partners.
  • Experience with email marketing platforms (Mailchimp, Klaviyo) or CRM tools.
  • A camera roll full of pet photos you’ve taken yourself.
