Job Summary

Own the cross-border marine fuels and renewable products trade picture, aligning client relationships, pricing strategy, and external negotiations while coordinating across scheduling, risk, and logistics.

  • International Relationships: Build and maintain key client and trading-partner connections to source and move fuels and feedstocks.
  • Market & Pricing Execution: Drive spot and term sales, monitor supply-demand and competitors, and shape pricing in marine fuels and renewables.
  • Cross-Functional Trade Support: Coordinate scheduling, operations, risk, credit, and compliance to enable Renewable Products Trading and integration with the business.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with international shipping clients and trading partners.
  • Execute spot and term sales of marine fuels, maximizing commercial value.
  • Support biodiesel and renewable diesel origination efforts, including supplier engagement and market development.
  • Provide trade support to Renewable Products Trading, including coordination across scheduling, operations, and risk functions.
  • Monitor market trends, supply-demand dynamics, and competitor activity across both marine fuels and renewable products to inform pricing and strategy.
  • Represent Chevron externally in commercial negotiations and industry forums.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to align on logistics, credit, risk, compliance, and renewable product integration.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in marine fuels, trading, renewable fuels, or related commercial roles.
  • Strong commercial acumen and understanding of marine fuel markets and/or renewable fuels markets, inclusive of regulatory and compliance requirements (EU ETS, FuelEU, RED III, IMO).
  • Excellent negotiation and decision-making skills.
  • Effective communication skills across organizational levels and cultures.

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Business, Engineering, or related field).
  • Team player with ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills.
  • Entrepreneurial and digital mindset.
  • Familiarity with biodiesel and renewable diesel supply chains, feedstocks, and trading dynamics.
