Job Summary

Own the social storytelling engine for a family-focused nursery, turning daily moments into narratives across short-form video, photography, and community content while growing parent audiences and safeguarding brand voice.

  • Build and own content calendars and community engagement across short-form video channels like Reels, TikTok, Stories, and YouTube Shorts.
  • Lead creative direction and production while ensuring safeguarding and brand guidelines.
  • Grow and engage parent and local communities, track metrics, and continually optimise the content engine.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Create and manage content calendars aligned with nursery activities, events, and seasonal campaigns.
  • Capture and oversee the creation of engaging photo and video content within the nursery environment.
  • Transform everyday experiences into compelling stories that showcase child development, learning, and nursery life.
  • Lead creative direction for Reels, TikToks, Stories, short-form video, photography, and campaign content.
  • Build and nurture an engaged parent and local community audience.
  • Manage social media channels, responding to comments, messages, and community interactions.
  • Support nursery enrolment and brand awareness through strategic content planning.
  • Work closely with nursery leadership and practitioners to identify stories and opportunities for content creation.
  • Measure performance, track key metrics, and continually optimise content based on audience insights.
  • Lead coverage of nursery events, celebrations, open days, and special activities.

Requirements

  • Social media, content, or digital marketing experience.
  • Proven track record of growing and engaging social media audiences.
  • Experience creating high-performing short-form video content.
  • Strong understanding of Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and emerging platforms.
  • Experience building communities and fostering meaningful audience engagement.
  • Confident filming in real-world environments.

Preferred

  • Experience within education, childcare, family, lifestyle, hospitality, or community-focused brands would be advantageous.
