You will own the management and delivery of GOSH’s social media and digital communications, shaping content strategies and coordinating with the Communications team to drive engagement and ensure user centered website content.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Play a leading role in the management and operational delivery of GOSH's social media accounts, collaborating closely with the Communications team to plan and develop integrated content strategies.
  • Develop and execute innovative digital communication plans to engage patients and the public.
  • Drive the implementation of marketing and communications strategies through digital channels, working closely with the external communication and digital lead to achieve objectives
  • Organise web requests, prioritise projects, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure website content meets user needs.
  • Manage the website requests inbox and social media inbox, promptly addressing inquiries and requests.
  • Employ a multichannel approach to digital content creation, aligning with the Trust’s overarching communications strategy and demonstrating skills in planning and execution. Provide support and training to the Communications team, delivering guidance on content creation.
  • Provide guidance on CMS usage to the Communications team and website editors, adapting and optimising training programs to enhance effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Educated in a relevant subject, for example communications, multimedia, broadcast journalism or have the equivalent work experience in a relevant area
  • Experience of working as part of a diverse team
  • Experience/Knowledge of managing social media and digital channels ensuring a regular stream of content that aligns with strategic communication goals
  • Experience/Knowledge of using Content Management Systems
  • Extensive knowledge of social media platforms and evidence of continued engagement with changes and developments in digital platforms
  • Skilled social media content producer, with experience using applications such as Canva to achieve the visual brand’s objectives across digital and print mediums
  • Planning and organisational skills
  • Solid copywriting skills for a range of digital platforms particularly web and social copy, with an understanding of SEO and content design principles
  • Ability building trusted relationships with colleagues across various levels in an organisation working to achieve common goals
  • Proven knowledge of analytical tools to manage, report on and learn from the effectiveness of communications activity, including Google Analytics 4 and social media tools such as Sprout Social

Preferred

  • Desirable criteria: Extensive knowledge of digital video editing software, including Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects and Audition
