Job Summary

Own and operationalize sponsorship programs for a sports client across rights, assets, and activation, coordinating agency partners, budgets, and key stakeholder meetings while shaping strategic POVs for event activation, influencer strategy, and engagement touchpoints.

Sponsorship Platform & Asset Management: oversee rights, asset inventory, and on-site activation coordination.
Activation & Event Strategy: partner with client teams to design activations, hospitality, media integrations, and influencer programs.
Governance & Team Leadership: manage client-vendor relationships, lead reviews, and mentor direct reports.

Job Description

Responsibilities

Lead day-to-day management of client's sponsorship platform including overall project management (e.g. project plans, timelines, agency integration and deliverables)
Develop and lead on sponsorship rights and asset management processes
Coordinate and manage activation programming with client functional teams and relevant agency partners in connection with client's sponsorship platforms
Provide strategic thinking and POVs for sponsorship initiatives. Specific initiatives could include event activation development, talent / influencer strategy, customer engagement, hospitality programming, media integration strategy, etc.
Manage client-vendor relationships and coordinate necessary deliverables on behalf of client
Provide proactive strategic thinking and recommendations for client and agency at large
Manage project budgets and invoicing deadlines
Lead key meetings with internal & external constituents
Provide support to Director and VP on overarching account management and planning
Lead and mentor direct reports

Requirements

Prior sports sponsorship experience required
Client-based account management experience; specific disciplines could include partnership marketing, event marketing, activation management.
Project management experience with the ability to manage multiple projects independently and with a larger team
League and/or team experience, an understanding of the business of sports, sports media, IP rights and sponsorship
Experience with on-site event management, event execution and vendor management
Ability to think strategically, creatively and can problem solve independently
Ability to handle precise asset management records, allocation, tracking and reconciliation
Exceptional organizational skills
Excellent time management, written and verbal communication skills
Travel approximately 10% of the time
