Job Summary

Own the end-to-end lifecycle marketing program for email and SMS, with a focus on building scalable automations, segment-driven personalization, and compliant, high-delivery messaging that drives retention and revenue across onsite and messaging touchpoints.

Lifecycle & Campaign Ownership: plan, build, test, and optimize welcome, cart recovery, post-purchase, winback, and VIP programs across brands.
Personalization & Cross-Channel Alignment: develop audience segments and behavior-driven journeys that align email, SMS, onsite experiences, and logged-in user flows.

Job Description

Responsibilities

Audit, optimize, and evolve the existing email marketing programs, including core lifecycle flows.
Help design, deploy, and scale an SMS program from the ground up, implementing industry best practices.
Improve and streamline email design systems to ensure consistency, performance, and brand alignment, optimizing creative.
Plan and execute email + SMS campaigns across brands, managing the full process from calendar planning through build, QA, segmentation, and send.
Build and optimize lifecycle automations such as welcome, abandoned cart, post-purchase, winback, VIP, and more.
Develop audience segmentation and personalization strategies based on customer behavior, purchase history, and brand voice.
Run A/B and multivariate tests, reporting on key performance metrics including revenue, conversion, engagement, churn, and unsubscribes.
Maintain strong deliverability and compliance standards, including opt-in/opt-out management, list hygiene, and adherence to regulations such as TCPA and relevant state privacy laws (e.g., California).
Partner with in-house Tech and Legal/Compliance teams to ensure all messaging programs meet regulatory requirements.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Creative, Ecommerce, and Analytics teams to continuously improve performance and customer experience.

Requirements

3+ years of hands-on experience in email and SMS marketing.
Proven experience managing campaigns and automations in an ESP/SMS platform (e.g. Klaviyo, Active Campaign, Attentive, Postscript etc.).
Strong understanding of lifecycle marketing, segmentation, testing, and performance reporting.
Excellent project management skills and ability to manage multiple brands with distinct voices and priorities.
Knowledge of deliverability, compliance, and customer-first messaging best practices.
Experience collaborating on customer journey optimization across onsite, email, and SMS channels, with a strong understanding of how logged-in user experiences impact retention and lifecycle performance.
