Job Description

Responsibilities

Develop and own content strategy and messaging across the organization, creating integrated storytelling campaigns that span all digital channels — including Waters.com, blogs, email, social media, and collateral materials
Lead in building messaging frameworks and narrative structures that align across channels and audiences
Partner with Creative to ensure content and design work in concert from brief through execution
Partner with Campaign Marketing and Corporate Communications to ideate and produce content aligned with corporate messaging and strategic initiatives
Partner with Product teams to ensure accuracy, compliance, and relevance of all content
Transform technical and scientific content into accessible, customer-focused copy optimized for engagement (click-through rate, time on page, and reduced bounce rate)
Write, edit, and proof a wide range of content including whitepapers, application notes, product copy, campaign messaging, blog posts, case studies, and executive communications
Translate complex scientific and technical information into clear, compelling narratives for diverse audiences including researchers, lab managers, procurement teams, and C-suite stakeholders.
Identify content gaps and opportunities based on market trends, competitive landscape, and customer insights
Support lead generation efforts through gated content, nurture sequences, and SEO-optimized web copy

Requirements

7+ years of experience in content strategy, copywriting, or a related role — biotechnology, life sciences, or a related scientific field strongly preferred.
Exceptional writing and editing skills with the ability to adapt tone and complexity for different audiences and formats.
Strong understanding of the biotechnology landscape, including familiarity with research workflows, instrumentation, or biologics development.
Experience developing content for B2B audiences and multi-channel marketing campaigns.
Experience working with and maintaining a consistent brand voice and style guide
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
Familiarity with SEO best practices, content management systems, and marketing automation platforms.
Bachelor's degree in English with a focus in Life Sciences, Biology, Biochemistry, Communications, or a related field; advanced degree a plus.
