Responsibilities

Develops and executes US marketing and communication strategies and integrated campaigns for company-owned medical education programs and national medical congresses and company-sponsored events at industry and clinical conferences.
Owns the Zimmer Biomet Institute brand strategy — positioning, messaging architecture, visual identity, creative standards, and brand guidelines — providing creative direction to internal teams and external agencies.
Leads social media strategy across LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, and emerging platforms, owning editorial calendars, content pillars, event amplification, audience growth, and engagement analytics within a regulated healthcare environment.
Develops thought leadership platforms and campaigns to position Zimmer Biomet Institute leaders as medical education experts, including executive social media strategy for select leaders.
Develops and manages multi-channel content calendars and communication plans spanning digital, social, email, web, video, print, and on-site channels to support global education programs, events, and ongoing engagement initiatives.
Translates complex clinical, surgical, and scientific information into compelling, audience-centric narratives for surgeons, healthcare professionals, fellows, residents, faculty, key opinion leaders, and internal stakeholders across all communications channels.
Partners cross-functionally with Medical Education, Medical Affairs, Product Marketing, Sales Leadership, Corporate Communications, Digital Marketing, Regulatory, Legal, and Compliance to align with strategic objectives and brand standards.
Leads the medical education communications strategy for company participation at major national and international medical congresses.
Oversees communications and customer experience design for physician education programs, from course promotion and registration through on-site engagement and post-event follow-up, driving enrollment and long-term loyalty.
Conducts competitive analysis and audience research to inform messaging strategy, benchmark performance against industry peers, and identifies opportunities to differentiate the organization’s medical education presence.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of relevant experience, or Associate's Degree and 7 years of relevant experience, or High School Diploma or Equivalent and 9 years of relevant experience required.
5+ years of experience leading marketing communications for large-scale events, medical congresses, or experiential marketing programs and 3+ years of demonstrated social media strategy leadership with measurable audience growth and engagement results in a regulated healthcare environment preferred.
Medical Device, Pharmaceutical, Life Science, related industry, or Agency experience preferred.
Proficiency in copywriting for traditional and social media communications and experience managing agencies, budgets and multiple concurrent projects with speed and precision preferred.
Proficiency in Adobe Marketo, Sprout Social, and Veeva PromoMats preferred.
Demonstrated experience with social media strategy and execution in a regulated healthcare environment preferred.
Proven ability to work effectively with senior leadership and cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization preferred.
