Job Description

Responsibilities

Develop social-first video concepts based on audience insights, pet parent pain points, brand priorities, platform trends, and everyday moments inside our shops
Write concise scripts with strong hooks, engaging storylines, and a clear vision for the response each piece should generate
Plan and execute recurring content shoots featuring dogs, pet parents, team members, creators, and the Good Clean Dog experience
Capture and edit short-form video for platforms such as Instagram Reels and TikTok
Direct employees, customers, and other nonprofessional on-camera talent so content feels natural and relatable
Help develop recurring stories, personalities, creative formats, and visual cues that make Good Clean Dog’s content recognizable
Create variations of hooks, messages, formats, lengths, and calls to action when appropriate
Review content performance with the Marketing Director and apply those insights to future concepts and edits
Organize footage and creative assets so strong moments can be repurposed across multiple pieces of content
Collaborate with internal team members and agency partners to maintain a reliable content pipeline

Requirements

3+ years of experience creating social-first content for a brand, agency, media company, or independently developed platform
A strong portfolio of short-form video demonstrating concept development, scripting, shooting, and editing
A deep understanding of Instagram Reels, TikTok, and what earns and maintains attention on social media
Strong instincts for hooks, pacing, storytelling, audience psychology, and platform trends
The ability to independently take content from initial insight and concept through shoot, edit, and performance analysis
Experience directing employees, customers, creators, or other nonprofessional talent on camera
Working knowledge of retention, watch time, completion rate, shares, saves, engagement, and conversion metrics
Experience using performance data to test creative variables and improve future content
A strong sense of brand and the ability to create content that feels consistent, recognizable, and uniquely Good Clean Dog
A proactive, collaborative, and organized working style
