Job Description

Responsibilities

Research social media trends, formats and audience behaviors to develop original video concepts based on product priorities and campaign goals.
Brainstorm recurring social series and new ways to demonstrate ArtSkills products on camera.
Write hooks, scripts, storyboards and shot lists.
Plan shoots, including products, props, sets, locations and talent.
Produce social-ﬁrst videos, product demonstrations, sales ads, tutorials, sizzles and other marketing content.
Film with smartphones and professional DSLR or mirrorless cameras using studio lighting and audio equipment.
Direct on-camera talent and help contributors feel comfortable and natural during shoots.
Participate on camera or serve as hands-in-frame talent as needed.
Edit content using Adobe Premiere Pro and, when appropriate, CapCut or other social-ﬁrst editing tools.
Add captions, graphics, music, sound eﬀects and basic motion graphics.

Requirements

At least 3+ years of relevant professional experience creating, ﬁlming and editing video content for social media, digital marketing or consumer brands.
Bachelor’s degree in video production, ﬁlm, digital media, communications, marketing or a related ﬁeld, or equivalent professional experience.
A strong portfolio of short-form videos demonstrating personal involvement in concept development, ﬁlming and editing.
Proven ability to turn a product, campaign goal or creative direction into original content and carry it through ﬁnal delivery.
Strong understanding of current social video formats, conventions and trends.
Proﬁciency in Adobe Premiere Pro, including video editing, color correction, audio and captions.
Experience ﬁlming with smartphones and professional cameras (DSLR or mirrorless).
Working knowledge of studio lighting, audio and video-production equipment.
Ability to develop eﬀective hooks, scripts, storyboards and shot lists.
Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines and move work forward with limited day-to-day direction.

Preferred

Experience creating content for consumer products, toys, crafts, retail or e-commerce.
Comfort directing talent or appearing on camera or as hands-in-frame when appropriate.
Product photography, product styling or set design experience.
Experience using CapCut to create quick-turn social content.
Strong visual-design skills with an understanding of typography and layout.
In-depth knowledge of Adobe After Effects, Photoshop and/or Illustrator.
Experience with motion graphics, animation, visual eﬀects or customizable video templates.
Experience creating content for both organic and paid social media.
Familiarity with social media performance metrics and using results to guide future creative decisions.
