The Department of Aviation is seeking an energetic and reliable Special Events Intern to support the Marketing and Public Relations Team at Philadelphia International Airport (PHL). This internship provides hands-on experience in event coordination, public engagement, and airport operations. The selected candidate will assist with the planning and execution of special events held at PHL and will support the Airport Tour Program by escorting visitors throughout airport facilities. Minimum Acceptable Training And Experience Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university Majors include Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Event Management, Business or a closely related field. Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to learn how to set-up equipment for special events Ability to read and interpret manufacturer’s manuals and procedures related to special events equipment.
