Job Overview The Vice President, Strategic Planning will serve as a senior executive leader responsible for defining, coordinating, and executing Wilmoth Financial’s enterprise-wide strategic planning framework. Reporting directly to the CEO and COO, this role will oversee corporate strategy development, long-term planning, growth initiatives, and cross-functional alignment—ensuring that strategic objectives translate into measurable execution across the organization. The VP of Strategic Planning will play a critical role in shaping the firm’s long-term direction, identifying expansion opportunities, strengthening competitive positioning, and aligning capital allocation with strategic priorities. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in financial services, fintech, corporate strategy, or capital markets, with a proven ability to translate high-level strategic vision into structured, data-driven execution plans within complex and evolving financial environments. Key Responsibilities Corporate Strategy & Enterprise Planning Lead the development and execution of Wilmoth Financial’s long-term corporate strategy and multi-year growth roadmap. Establish structured strategic planning cycles, annual operating plans, and enterprise performance alignment processes. Ensure strategic priorities are clearly defined, measurable, and aligned with financial objectives. Partner with executive leadership to evaluate competitive positioning, industry trends, and strategic trade-offs. Growth Strategy & Market Expansion Identify and evaluate new growth opportunities across products, markets, partnerships, and digital initiatives. Develop disciplined market entry and expansion frameworks aligned with regulatory and commercial realities. Assess strategic investments, acquisitions, or partnership opportunities to accelerate growth. Support geographic and vertical expansion initiatives from strategic concept through execution planning. Capital Allocation & Value Creation Align capital deployment decisions with long-term strategic priorities and risk considerations. Develop financial modeling, scenario analysis, and value-creation frameworks supporting executive decision-making. Monitor strategic return on investment across initiatives and ensure disciplined performance tracking. Support enterprise value enhancement through structured strategic oversight. Cross-Functional Strategic Alignment Drive collaboration between finance, technology, operations, product, compliance, and growth teams. Translate enterprise strategy into actionable objectives across business units. Ensure alignment between strategic goals, budgeting processes, and operational execution. Facilitate executive strategy sessions, board-level planning discussions, and strategic reviews. Risk, Governance & Strategic Oversight Assess strategic risks associated with expansion initiatives, technology investments, and new business models. Ensure strategic planning incorporates regulatory, compliance, and governance considerations. Partner with Legal, Compliance, and Risk functions to support disciplined and sustainable growth. Promote structured decision-making supported by data, analytics, and scenario modeling. Performance Management & Organizational Enablement Establish KPIs and enterprise dashboards linking strategy to measurable outcomes. Drive continuous improvement in strategic execution discipline and decision quality. Build and mentor a high-performing corporate strategy team. Foster a culture of accountability, analytical rigor, and long-term value creation. Qualifications 20+ years of progressive experience in corporate strategy, executive planning, investment strategy, or senior leadership roles within financial services, fintech, or capital markets. Proven success in leading enterprise strategic planning and cross-functional execution in growth-oriented organizations. Strong understanding of fintech-enabled business models, financial markets, and institutional ecosystems. Demonstrated experience supporting executive leadership and board-level strategic discussions. Exceptional analytical, financial modeling, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
