Responsibilities E-commerce’s Governance and Experience (GNE) organization is dedicated to building a safe, sustainable, and high-trust marketplace where every customer enjoys a seamless purchase experience. About the Role: We are seeking a strategic and dynamic leader to serve as the Content Governance for TikTok Shop-US market, specialized in High risk category and misleading content governance. This role is accountable for ensuring platform integrity, user safety, and regulatory compliance across complex and high-risk category content scenarios, while balancing enforcement accuracy, creator ecosystem health, and scalable operations. This leader will operate at the intersection of policy strategy, risk governance, product and AI-enabled enforcement. Responsibilities: - Own the end-to-end governance strategy for health category and misleading content in the US, including medical misinformation, health fraud, unverified treatments, and emerging health narratives. - Translate regulatory requirements, public health guidance, and platform principles into scalable governance frameworks and enforcement strategies. - Drive high-quality enforcement outcomes by improving decision accuracy, consistency, and edge-case handling across review and escalation processes. - Partner closely with Product, Algorithm, and AI teams to embed LLM technology into content governance workflows. - Partner with global policy teams to ensure global alignment with US nuance, contributing US insights to global standards. - Lead content governance team, supporting skill development and effective performance. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: - 5 years of experience in content governance, trust & safety, policy, risk management, or platform integrity, with direct exposure to health or misinformation domains. - 3+ years of experience leading and managing teams in similar functions. - Proven track record of developing, implementing, and enforcing end-to-end policies and strategies for content safety. - Ability to influence and collaborate across cross-functional teams, including executive stakeholders. - Strong business judgment with the ability to translate product, policy, and data insights into strategic decisions. - In this role, you will be collaborating extensively with internal teams based in China and across APAC. This collaboration is necessary to support the strategy alignment and drive improvement to our programs. Fluency in Mandarin and English are required for this role, including an ability to communicate business terminology with ease. Preferred Qualifications: - Demonstrated past success working in a matrix environment and ability to influence key stakeholders. - Strong understanding of US health-related regulatory and compliance landscape. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.​ Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others.
