Requisition Number: 70291 Location: Boulder, Colorado City Boulder State Colorado Employment Type: Temporary Staff Schedule: Part-Time Posting Close Date: 02-Mar-2026 Date Posted: 02-Mar-2026 Job Summary The Engineering Management Program (EMP) at the University of Colorado Boulder is looking for a part-time Temporary Web Developer to move our existing website to CU Boulder's updated version of Web Express CMS, built on Drupal and overseen by CU’s Strategic Communications department. The successful candidate will have knowledge of and experience working with Web Express. Who We Are The Engineering Management Program (EMP) is a technically-based management and leadership program for the engineering and technical fields that prepares students for early to mid-career positions in a variety of industries. It’s designed for students who are looking to advance in management, successfully contribute to the overall business or venture, and develop their leadership skills. What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be This role is responsible for updating and enhancing the current Engineering Management Program's website to CU's WebExpress CMS Drupal 10. This includes coordinating with the Web Express team to ensure the successful technical content updates and feature additions, managing site lock, reviewing reports from staff, and making necessary edits. This role will also coordinate with CEAS staff on the design, build and launch of landing pages to conform with the new College design approach. What We Can Offer The starting pay range for this position is $35.00 - $39.00 per hour. What We Require 5 or more years of experience as a Web Developer and Designer in a professional work environment. Associate's degree in web development, digital marketing, or a related field. At least 160 hours of hands-on website development experience with Web Express CMS and demonstrable ability to employ it efficiently and effectively. What You Will Need Demonstrated technical and problem-solving skills. Professional level knowledge of industry-standard practices and tools. Experience with two or more WordPress, Joomla or Drupal-based CMS environments creating custom pages and designs. Ability to develop and test responsive websites. Facility with MS Office. Firm grasp of good user interface, site architecture and usability. Proficiency in graphic design. Ability to analyze and propose solutions to problems. Firm grasp of web content and SEO best-practices. Multitasking & Time Management skills. Highly communicative with the ability to coordinate among internal customers. Highly organized with attention to detail and consistency. Self-motivated with good work ethic. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work multi-functionally in a team environment. What We Would Like You to Have Bachelor’s degree in a directly related field. Professional work experience in higher education, not-for-profit or government sectors. Familiarity with Salesforce, Slate or other similar CRM. Ability with common Web programming languages.
