Supply Chain Planner (Contract) Please note that this is a contract role providing services to Microsoft through external staffing partners of Allegis Global Solutions. If you are selected for this role, you will be employed by AGS and will not be an employee of Microsoft. Summary This position offers an exceptional opportunity to coordinate and manage critical infrastructure logistics operations supporting a global datacenter network. Working within a fast-paced, mission-critical environment, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless flow of power and cooling materials across North and South America. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can independently manage complex, multi-region shipping operations while maintaining rigorous documentation standards and operational excellence. You will serve as a key contributor to operational logistics planning, warehousing coordination, and transportation execution, directly enabling the delivery of essential equipment that powers cloud infrastructure serving millions of users worldwide. The ideal candidate thrives in dynamic environments, demonstrates strong analytical capabilities, and possesses proven experience managing international freight workflows with precision and accountability. Job Responsibilities Coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials between departments and facilities according to production and delivery schedules Examine documents, materials, and products to assess completeness, accuracy, and conformance to standards and specifications Review production schedules, work orders, and staffing tables to determine personnel and materials requirements and establish material priorities Track and monitor shipment status across multiple regions, identifying risks and implementing corrective actions to maintain service level agreements Prepare and manage trade documentation, customs workflows, and international shipping compliance requirements Coordinate with third-party logistics providers and carriers to ensure on-time delivery of materials and equipment Record production data including volume produced, consumption of raw materials, quality control measures, and inventory levels Requisition and maintain inventories of materials and supplies necessary to meet operational demands Build and maintain dashboards and operational reports to provide visibility into logistics performance and exceptions Resolve shipping exceptions and operational blockers through collaboration with warehouse teams, carriers, and internal stakeholders Support warehouse management system and transportation management system operations and process improvements Document logistics processes, requirements, and recurring issues to ensure operational consistency and auditability Requirements 2-4 years of logistics experience with direct ownership of domestic and international shipping operations 2-4 years of hands-on experience preparing trade documents, tracking global shipments, managing customs workflows, and resolving shipping exceptions 2-4 years working with warehouse management systems, transportation management systems, third-party logistics coordination, and multimodal freight routing Demonstrated experience managing multi-region or international shipping operations beyond single-state or limited regional scope Previous experience supporting operational logistics planning and execution in high-volume environments Verbal and written communication skills with ability to coordinate across multiple regions and time zones Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and record-keeping Problem solving and analytical skills with ability to identify risks and implement solutions Interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and external partners Ability to analyze costs related to transportation, warehousing, labor, and materials Proficiency with warehouse management systems and transportation management systems Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to international shipping, customs, and trade compliance Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and SQL for data analysis and reporting Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and work independently with minimal supervision Strong organizational skills for tracking shipments, inventory levels, and operational metrics Additional Details Location: Remote Duration: 4 months Pay Range*: $28 - $32 per hour Weekly Schedule: 40 hours Job Status: Non-Exempt Application Deadline: Apply within 72 hours of the posting date to ensure consideration.
