Position Summary The Staff Accountant will be responsible for executing a variety of accounting processes while also providing support with the team working directly with the profitability of the business. The position will interact across the organization with business stakeholders, multiple departments, and clients. The position will offer opportunities to be challenged technically and grow within the organization. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and driven with high attention to detail. This role is a hybrid role in the office on Tuesdays/Thursdays. The Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant include: Manage the capitalization and reporting of monthly fixed asset and depreciation activity. Understand carrier commission statement activity to appropriately allocate payments and provide additional analysis as needed. Work with colleagues across the organization to resolve discrepancies. Perform month end closing processes including journal entries, account analysis and internal reporting. Reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance. Participate in weekly cash analysis discussions to provide insight into carrier payments. Responsible for the daily reconciliation of bank activity. Assist with external audit requests. Identify opportunities for process improvement including the use of AI and assist in implementing changes to increase efficiency and accuracy in financial operations. Perform other duties as required to support the understanding and analysis of the profitability of the company and related lines of business. Special projects as needed. Participate in and contribute positively to work/team environment. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications include: Bachelor’s degree in accounting Critical thinking and high attention to detail Strong mathematical and analytical skills Organized and strong time management skills Experience working with NetSuite a plus Proficiency in Excel Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills 3+ years of accounting experience Strong knowledge of GAAP Compensation and Benefits Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that base salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, performance in the role and potential for revenue generation. Compensation The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $70,000 to $75,000 USD per year. This role is also eligible to participate in the annual bonus program.
