About The Role Cars Commerce is seeking a passionate, data savvy Senior Analyst to join the growing Enterprise Analytics team and fuel our mission of growth through data-driven insights and opportunity discovery. In this dynamic role, you will work closely with the Sales team to provide thoughtful analyses and reporting for our Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) dealer customers to uncover opportunities and help grow our business. The ideal candidate will have a robust mix of technical, business and communication skills, with a passion for optimization, data storytelling, and data visualization. You will collaborate with a centralized team of analysts as well as teams across the organization including Sales, Product, Marketing, Data, and senior leadership. This is an exciting opportunity to be a key influencer to the company’s strategic decisions and to learn and grow with our Enterprise Analytics team. Responsibilities Synthesize internal and third party data into actionable insights that inform Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) priorities, including shopper behavior, site trends, industry trends, advertiser performance, and OEM value delivery. Clearly communicate these recommendations to internal stakeholders and senior leadership. Be fully accountable to support the Sales team with analysis, research and insights that improve OEM retention, revenue and value delivery Actively participate in cross-functional initiatives, collaborating to achieve and measure project success. Create compelling, intuitive stories / dashboards that lead to powerful insights and data-driven decisions Leverage technical tools (e.g. AWS Redshift, Amplitude, Tableau, Split, Python, and/or R) to analyze data Requirements 3+ years professional experience in analytics role and experience with digital analytics Experience with analyzing large datasets and coming up with actionable business insights Strong SQL skills, experience with digital analytics tools (e.g. Amplitude) and data visualization softwares (e.g. Tableau, Looker) are a must. Experience with statistical analysis and modeling and other technical tools such as R, Python is a plus Experience with A/B testing is required. Strong A/B testing tool and design knowledge is a plus Evidence of analytical skills, problem solving, business acumen, strong logical thinking and ability to put together compelling data-driven insights Experience with building strong cross-functional partnerships, being a collaborative problem solver and leveraging data to influence stakeholders Automotive industry experience is a plus About You A curious mind with a thirst for discovery, answers, optimization, and continuous improvement Can easily organize and analyze large, varied sets of data and distill into actionable insights Superior work ethic and eagerness to learn, ability to deal with ambiguity, time/project management, and flexibility to thrive in a dynamic fast-paced environment Active listener with the ability to ask the right questions to understand the business problem and identify the analysis approach Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate findings across multiple levels within the organization Comfortable presenter and excellent data storyteller Creative problem-solving skills, with the ability to extract insights and opportunities from our data A team player with a positive attitude and enthusiasm for our team’s mission In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base salary range for this position. In addition to base salary, some roles are eligible for our bonus and/or equity programs, depending on level and role. Regular full-time positions are eligible for our comprehensive benefits package. If you are hired at Cars Commerce, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills and/or experience.
