Rich Layton has been collecting cards since he was 6 years old. He used to collect with his father, who helped him build a card shop in the attic of his childhood home. Rich’s friends would come over and they would trade cards. As he grew older he stopped collecting, but quickly remembered what he loved about collecting when his wife, Sara, came home with a box of 2011 Topps Series 2. Rich started to do research and saw how differently collecting was from the 80s and 90s. He ended up on YouTube watching group breaks and thought ‘I can do this and bring something special to the table”. Laytonsportscards.com launched in September, 2012 with breaks from our small apartment in Cape May, NJ. All of Rich’s hardwork and determination helped LSC grow and our very first hobby shop was opened in December, 2012. Layton Sports Cards relocated from New Jersey to Florida and grew from four team members to twenty and continues to grow. Our new 7,000 sq ft facility opened in September, 2021.
