You will lead client engagements, manage end-to-end sales cycles, and deliver operational excellence. The role requires a deep understanding of the banking domain, proven experience in delivering large projects and the ability to build strong relationships with senior stakeholders. Responsibilities: Reports To: Head of Capital Markets Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Vice President to lead business development and client engagement initiatives within the Asset Management sector. The ideal candidate will have deep domain expertise in asset management and a proven ability to drive growth through strategic partnerships, innovative solutions, and a client-centric approach. This role will also focus on leveraging EXL’s capabilities in data analytics, digital transformation, and operational efficiency to address industry challenges. Key Responsibilities: The Vice President will play a critical role in driving EXL’s growth within the asset management sector by developing and executing comprehensive strategies that align with client needs in areas such as fund distribution, investment operations, fund reporting, pricing and valuation, risk analytics, and operational transformation. This leader will identify and cultivate opportunities to deepen relationships with existing clients while opening new doors with prospective firms, ensuring EXL's offerings are tailored to meet evolving industry demands. By building trusted relationships with key stakeholders across marketing, sales, FP&A, operations, and risk, the VP will act as a strategic advisor, guiding clients through innovative solutions like portfolio risk assessment, fund performance analytics, and Generative AI applications. A significant focus of the role will be solutioning—collaborating with clients to understand their challenges and designing data-driven, scalable, and cost-effective solutions that leverage EXL’s advanced capabilities in analytics, digital transformation, and process automation. The VP will lead the end-to-end development of these solutions, from ideation to seamless implementation, ensuring measurable business outcomes and fostering long-term client value. In addition, the VP will drive business development by leading client discussions, crafting compelling proposals, and closing contracts while ensuring flawless execution and satisfaction through operational excellence. The role also emphasizes thought leadership, positioning EXL as an industry leader through whitepapers, conferences, and webinars, while championing initiatives like automating fund reporting and integrating AI into portfolio construction. By managing and mentoring a high-performing team, the VP will oversee the delivery of client projects with a commitment to quality and innovation, ensuring EXL continues to set the benchmark for excellence in the asset management industry. Experience: 12-15+ years in asset management, management consulting, or financial services, with a focus on client-facing roles and business growth. Education: Minimum of an undergrad degree is required. MBA or advanced degree in Finance, Business, Data Science, or related field preferred. Expertise: Deep understanding of at least one of the following key areas at an asset management firm: Investment operations, fund distribution, fund reporting, operations, FP&A, performance analytics, risk management, and pricing and valuation. Proven experience in leveraging analytics and digital solutions to address challenges in the asset management space. Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage client relationships, and drive revenue growth. Communication: Strong presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage C-suite executives. Good to Have: Experience in fund distribution strategy, market research, and sales enablement within asset management. Familiarity with Generative AI applications and advanced analytics for the financial services industry.
