This role serves a multi-function purpose, providing support to both the retail and the production teams. The incumbent is responsible for maintaining the skills necessary to serve as a relief/resource worker for the coffee shop, the All Spice cashier and beverage station, the All Spice food prep, grill and fry cook, and overall stocking functions. Interacts with staff and customers Knowledge, Skills & Abilities One (1) year of experience in the food service industry strongly preferred. Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions required. Must have working knowledge of safe and sanitary food handling procedures. Ability to show courtesy and tact in all communication. Timeliness and consistency is required when performing all job duties. Ability to tolerate high-stress situations and attend to job tasks/duties with frequent interruptions is required. Ability to prioritize tasks to ensure completion within work shift. Ability to organize work to meet serving schedules. WORKING CONDITIONS - ADA INFORMATION Fast-paced food services environment within full-service hospital setting. Requires extensive walking and standing during shift. Requires lifting of up to 50 lbs and frequent bending using correct technique. Exposed to hazard of burns and cuts due to working with hot equipment, sharp knives and meat slicer. Possible exposure to infectious material and hazardous chemicals.
