Role: Project Coordinator / Marketing + Communications Location: Hybrid - Either Malvern, PA or Charlotte, NC Hours: 8:30-4:30pm EST Pay: $28-$35/hr on W2 Business Unit: Marketing and Communications - Channel Typical Day: Data Analytics, KPIs, Dashboarding across the org. Not development but a good understanding of the digital product, able to construct requirements for reporting Top 3 Skill Executive Communication Skills/Interaction – Written mostly Strong PM skills – Project plans, project updates Stakeholder management/communication MUST HAVE experience with project planning in the DE&I space for HR departments, must experience with strategic management, compliance solutions, strategy. Must have very strong functional skills. SOP’s and framework for the program were already put in place by Matthew Whitaker, now this PM needs to improve and maintain the program. Years Experience: 3 - 5 years. Duties And Responsibilities Manages the development of multiple complex, well-defined proprietary event plans that map to strategic business needs. Events are developed to meet specific business needs and can vary by location, length, format and agenda. Position is responsible for defining the events needed, audience, topic, agenda, etc. Plans and monitors project progress by effectively managing tasks using appropriate technology and partnering with Communications and CEP on assignments. Ensures consistency and integration of messages across various mediums (i.e., print, spoken expression, electronic, social media, web, etc.). Responsible for recommending both set up for events as well as directing the creative team on messaging (i.e. print ads for events, etc.) Develops and maintains strong, consultative relationships with internal and external partners to ensure business needs are met based on specific criteria defined by the team. Monitors and analyzes product and marketplace trends, client needs, and competitive offerings across applicable markets using primary and secondary research sources, industry publications, competitor websites, and feedback from clients. Establishes a high level of knowledge about Vanguard’s existing product offerings and capabilities. Is able to clearly define benefits and effectively communicate to internal and external clients. Establishes strong working relationships with sales leadership, senior leaders, technical and business leads, decision-makers, marketing managers, communications professionals, and stakeholders. Recommends tactical direction to internal decision-makers.8. Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Undergraduate degree in Marketing preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience. Years exp: Minimum three years related work experience. Working knowledge of applicable business/service area(s) (depending on specific work assignment). Knowledge of investments, mutual funds, Vanguard funds, and investment marketing. Strong project management skills. Ability to focus on client needs. Ability to translate features into benefits. Ability to work with increase independence with the direction of a more experienced marketing manager, and establish work priorities with guidance from management. Strong analytical skills and ability to think strategically. Ability to deal professionally with people of all levels. Good verbal and written communications skills. Special Factors Ability to travel on limited basis. Vanguard is not offering visa sponsorship for this position. Scope The person in this position will receive guidance from management in the areas of marketing procedures and specialized knowledge areas, as well as help working within the organization, but will be expected to be able to plan and monitor projects independently.
