Role Scope & Boundaries This role focuses on the design, delivery, and adoption of digital applications, integrations, and automation solutions built on existing enterprise platforms. While the Digital Transformation Architect partners closely with platform owners, IT leadership, and business stakeholders, this role does not own enterprise portfolio strategy, platform roadmaps, or cost optimization. Responsibility is centered on solution architecture, application-level design, and successful execution. Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership & Transformation Partner with business leaders to identify, evaluate, and prioritize digital transformation and process improvement opportunities. Serve as a change agent advocating for user-centered design, automation, and intelligent systems. Contribute to CX and EX roadmaps by translating business needs into scalable, application-level digital solutions. Define success metrics and value hypotheses for digital initiatives in partnership with business and IT stakeholders. Technical Ownership & Engineering Oversight Bring hands-on technical expertise to design, prototype, and occasionally implement software solutions. Expected allocation: ~30–40% hands-on technical work, ~30% architecture & design, ~30–40% stakeholder, vendor, and change leadership Provide architectural guidance and technical direction for application-level digital products, integrations, and internal tools. Support and, when needed, contribute directly to coding efforts (e.g., automation scripts, integrations, proofs of concept, AI-driven prototypes). Evaluate emerging technologies—especially in AI & AI agents, automation, analytics, and low-code/no-code—and recommend opportunities for practical adoption. Design and implement improved processes and operating models leveraging AI, LLM, and RPA technologies within environments such as SAP, Salesforce, Cloud, or ERP, in collaboration with platform owners. Vendor, Partner, & Project Coordination Manage and coordinate work with third-party development partners to ensure quality, velocity, and scalability. Contribute to scoping and technical estimation for application-level initiatives, supporting decisions on internal vs. external resourcing. Act as the technical liaison between internal stakeholders and external delivery teams. Maintain visibility into technical risks, dependencies, and change impacts. User Experience & Process Optimization Collaborate with users, SMEs, and process owners to analyze pain points and improve workflows. Oversee the design and rollout of intuitive, efficient, and scalable solutions that enhance employee and customer journeys. Drive adoption and change activities to ensure solutions deliver measurable outcomes. Qualifications Required 7+ years of experience in software development, solution architecture, technical product management, or a similar hybrid role. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, AI/ML, or a related technical field. Demonstrated ability to both code and lead technical delivery through others. Experience managing or partnering with external development teams. Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals (APIs, cloud services, security, integration patterns, data flows). Proven track record delivering digital transformation or process improvement initiatives. Technical expertise: Primary (expert in one): One modern backend or full-stack language (C#, Java, Python, or TypeScript); cloud-native architecture (Azure preferred) Exposure / working knowledge: Enterprise platforms (SAP, Salesforce, Power Platform), automation technologies (RPA, workflow engines) Advanced knowledge of performance management, process improvement, and technology deployment in enterprise environments. Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and business audiences. Preferred Understanding of LLMs and GenAI architectures, including prompt engineering, RAG patterns, vector databases, and AI integration pipelines. Experience with multi-agent systems (e.g., agent coordination, inter-agent communication, shared knowledge, task delegation). Familiarity with human-centered design, service design, or design thinking practices. Experience working in environments with complex stakeholder groups or legacy-to-modern system transitions.
