Job Summary

The role owns the church's communications strategy and execution, overseeing website content, multi‑channel messaging, asset management, weekly Sunday communications, and coordination with design and media teams, while managing social media plans, editing, budgeting, and project workflows.

Work with ministry leaders and Communications Director to develop overall communication plans, processes, and tools to effectively communicate and propel the church forward
Manage content, structure, and user experience for the SOLLC and Shepherd's Flock websites to ensure accessibility, relevance, and effectiveness
Draft content for all communications included but not limited to eblasts, promotional campaigns, events, website copy, church announcements, newsletters, brochures and annual meeting information packets
Collaborate with the Graphic Design and Social Media Coordinator, printers, photographers, and videographers as needed to manage and distribute high-quality communication and promotional materials
Maintain an organized library of marketing assets, photographs, logos, templates, and brand resources
Coordinate weekly communication needs for Sunday services: slides, video announcements, key messaging, signage, etc.
Along with the Communications Team, manage Trello, the tool currently used for communication project management
Help develop and support the social media strategy and plan including coordination and creation of posts, imagery, and videos
Edit, proof-read and review all communications, adhering to grammatical and SOLLC branding standards
Help develop and maintain an annual budget

Requirements

At least 2-4 years of experience working in a communications-related field
Experience in website design and/or content management, preferably WIX
Knowledge of Google analytics and Google ads
Comfortable with multiple social media platforms
Strong project management and organizational skills
Self-starter and ability to self-direct
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Experience with photography, videography, graphics, and print production equipment.
