Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Own our website, SEO, email marketing and lead database, while working alongside the Managing Director, existing freelancers and partners to deliver campaigns and generate new business.
  • Take full ownership of the Charity Fleetcare website including: Updating and improving existing pages; Creating new sector-specific landing pages; Keeping website content fresh and relevant; Improving conversion rates and calls to action; Testing new ideas and messaging; Making routine changes yourself in WordPress.
  • Build and execute a straightforward SEO programme focused on the search terms our potential customers are actually using: Keyword research; On-page optimisation; Content opportunities; Basic technical SEO; Basic link-building activity; Monitoring search performance; Identifying opportunities to increase organic leads.
  • Own our outbound and inbound email marketing programme: Plan campaigns by sector and audience; Write or review email copy; Brief our email operations freelancer; Manage email sequences and automation; Monitor campaign performance; Test different messaging and approaches; Track leads generated from email; Continuously improve campaign performance; Be accountable for the leads and opportunities those campaigns generate.
  • Take ownership of our contact database and lead-generation process: Keeping the database clean and properly segmented; Ensuring prospects are systematically worked; Tracking leads through the pipeline; Identifying gaps or opportunities; Making sure leads don’t fall through the cracks; Reporting on what is converting; Using data to improve future campaigns.
  • Manage our existing email operations freelancer: Clear campaign briefs; Copy and messaging direction; Deadlines and priorities; Feedback and quality control; Ongoing performance management; Coordinate other freelancers or external specialists where required.
  • Support the Managing Director with the execution of partnership marketing activity, including: Co-marketing campaigns; Partner communications; Webinar logistics; Webinar promotion; Follow-up campaigns; Turning partnership activity into measurable leads.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years' B2B marketing experience
  • Experience working in a small, lean or entrepreneurial business environment
  • Strong WordPress skills – able to confidently build and edit pages without developer support
  • Strong email marketing experience using Brevo, Mailchimp or an equivalent platform
  • Experience with email automation and sequencing
  • Practical SEO knowledge, including keyword research and on-page optimisation
  • Strong copywriting skills across web, email and short-form content
  • Genuine fluency with AI tools for research, content creation, SEO, campaign planning and marketing execution
  • Highly self-directed and organised
  • Commercially minded and focused on leads, pipeline and revenue

Preferred

  • Experience marketing to charities, social care or the wider third sector
  • Experience with Apollo.io or similar B2B prospecting platforms
  • Experience managing freelancers or small external teams
  • Understanding of CRM and pipeline management
  • Experience coordinating webinars or online events
