Operations Manager We’re looking for a proactive Operations Manager (5–7 years experience) to keep the MIJO engine humming. You’ll be the right hand to our CEO and Director of Finance, acting as the bridge between various teams at MIJO. This is a full-time, hybrid role (remote/in-person in NYC) for someone who loves the "how" of a creative agency as much as the "what." About MIJO MIJO is a new creative agency founded by two guys with 30 years of combined experience in the business. In just our first year, we’ve added clients including a major tech brand, an NBA-related apparel company, a mobile phone carrier, and a community bank based in Harlem. We are now fifteen people and together we're building an agency that thrives at the intersection of creativity, strategy, and technology. We value clarity over jargon, partnership over hierarchy, and ideas that help our clients move boldly into what’s next. The Day-to-Day Project Pipeline: Support the Executive Producer and PM team by auditing workflows and directly managing select projects to ensure deadlines are met and creative teams are unblocked. Finance & Spend: Supporting the CFO as necessary including coding expenses accurately, AR/AP and syncing with our bookkeeper to keep our books spotless. Contract Flow: Move NDAs, MSAs, SOWs, and Independent Contractor agreements through the signing process so the team can start work. Compliance & HR: Handle the "welcome" for new hires, manage benefits enrollment, and ensure all freelancer 1099s and workers' comp codes are 100% accurate. Studio & Tech HQ: Act as the "Studio Manager" for our physical and digital workspace. You'll manage software subscriptions (Slack, Adobe, PM tools), insurance renewals, and oversee all physical office needs to keep the team focused and the environment dialed-in.(Slack, Adobe, etc.), and handle general office/tech needs. The Profile Experience: 5–7 years in a fast-paced creative agency and/or video production environment. Skillset: You know your way around budgets, timelines, PM software, and don't blink at a complex MSA. Vibe: You’re high-autonomy. If the Director of Finance is out, the ship still sails. You’re organized, detail-obsessed, and ready to tackle urgent tasks with a "got it" attitude. MIJO Benefits Salary: Competitive NYC range ($90k – $115k dependent on experience/hours). Benefits: Health, Dental, Vision, PTO Environment: A high-energy, boutique creative culture in the heart of NYC. Growth: Direct access to leadership and a seat at the table in a growing agency.
