Network Unified Communications Design Engineer Senior

Position Title: Senior Network Unified Communications Design Engineer Location: Camp Lejeune, NC - Onsite Clearance Requirements: Active DoD Secret Clearance (or higher) required Position Status: Contract Pay Rate: Competitive – Based on Experience Position Description: We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Network Engineer to support complex, large-scale enterprise and DoD network environments. This role will focus on advanced LAN/WAN/BAN administration, VoIP engineering, network security, identity and access management (IAM), and secure communications integration. You will serve as a technical leader supporting mission-critical infrastructure, collaborating with government stakeholders, and designing secure, scalable network solutions across multi-vendor environments including Cisco, Juniper, and Brocade technologies. This position is ideal for a seasoned network professional with deep experience in enterprise networking, VoSIP, TACLANE encryption, Active Directory integration, PKI authentication, and Information Assurance (IA). Key Responsibilities Lead daily engineering activities supporting LAN, WAN, and Base Area Network (BAN) environments Design, configure, and troubleshoot complex enterprise network infrastructure Engineer and integrate VoIP and VoSIP solutions, including: Unified Messaging Extension Mobility Emergency Responder Call Center operations Support Layer 3 switching and TACLANE encryption configurations Design and manage VLANs, PSTN interfaces, and auxiliary voice networks Administer DNS, DHCP, IP addressing schemes, and network routing protocols Integrate Active Directory (AD), LDAP, PKI certificates, and two-factor authentication solutions Implement Identity & Access Management (IAM) and Rights Management Services Support secure video teleconferencing across DoD, Federal, and commercial networks Develop multi-vendor secure networking solutions (Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, Brocade) Ensure compliance with DoD Information Assurance (IA) and security standards Perform network performance testing, configuration management, and system optimization Required Skills/Education Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience) 10+ years of experience in enterprise or DoD network engineering Strong expertise in: LAN/WAN/BAN architecture VoIP / VoSIP engineering Active Directory & LDAP integration PKI and two-factor authentication DNS, DHCP, routing & switching VLAN design and configuration TACLANE / encrypted network environments Experience supporting secure DoD or Federal network environments ITIL v3 Foundation Certification required Professional-level certification preferred (or equivalent experience), such as: Cisco (Security/Professional-level) Fortinet (FCNSP) Juniper (JNCIP-SEC) Equivalent advanced networking/security certifications About Seneca Resources: At Seneca Resources, we are more than just a staffing and consulting firm — we are a trusted career partner.
