Middle Office Trade Exception Management Intermediate Analyst

This is a hybrid role based at Citi's Getzville location and will require a minimum of 3 days in-office. The Sec & Derivat Intmd Assoc Analyst is an mid level position responsible for processing orders and transactions originating from trading desks and branch offices in coordination with the Fixed Income innovations team. The overall objective of this role is to assist in the clearance, settlement and investigation of client securities and derivatives transactions. Responsibilities: Utilize basic industry and business knowledge to conduct analyses of hedge funds and other counterparty activities Contribute to the creation of customized reporting used to present information to management Support implementation of securities processing improvements Deal with ad-hoc queries from a broad range of stakeholders on a daily basis in a professional and timely manner Assist with identifying policy gaps and formulating policies that streamline related work processes Review and analyze daily BAU activities, procedures to reconcile cash/holdings and securities pricing Develop and use knowledge of securities, processing practices and standards Provide informal guidance or on the job training to lower level/new securities processing team members when required Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency. Qualifications: 2-5 years of relevant experience Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills Education: Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or equivalent experience This job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed.
