Email is a mission-critical system channel at PartsBase — powering marketplace notifications, RFQs, order activity, compliance communications, account alerts, and platform workflows. This is not a marketing role. This position sits at the intersection of infrastructure, deliverability science, and system reliability. Role Overview We are seeking an Email Deliverability Specialist to own and optimize the technical health, reputation, and reliability of PartsBase’s email ecosystem. This role ensures our platform emails reach inboxes globally — without bounces, blocking, throttling, or reputation degradation. You will act as the subject matter expert for sender reputation, authentication protocols, ISP relations, and email system performance. Your work directly impacts customer trust, marketplace activity, and platform uptime. Key Responsibilities Deliverability & Reputation Management Own sender reputation across all IPs and domains Monitor and improve inbox placement, bounce rates, spam complaint rates, and blocklist status Manage IP warming strategies and domain reputation protection Proactively identify and resolve deliverability risks before they impact customers Email Infrastructure & Authentication Manage and optimize SPF, DKIM, DMARC, and domain authentication frameworks Oversee DNS configurations related to email delivery Ensure alignment with global mailbox provider requirements (Google, Microsoft, Yahoo, etc.) Support BIMI and emerging authentication/security standards where applicable Monitoring & Incident Response Monitor system email performance, bounce classifications, and SMTP responses Lead troubleshooting of delivery failures, deferrals, and ISP blocks Work closely with Engineering and DevOps to diagnose infrastructure-related issues Develop alerting and reporting for deliverability anomalies Compliance & Policy Alignment Ensure system emails comply with CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and global email regulations (as applicable to system messaging) Maintain suppression logic, complaint handling processes, and feedback loop integrations Help define internal sending policies and technical best practices Data & Reporting Build dashboards and reporting around deliverability KPIs Analyze trends in bounce types (hard, soft, technical), ISP filtering, and domain/IP performance Provide regular updates to leadership on system email health and risk exposure Cross-Functional Partnership Partner with Engineering, Product, and Security teams on email-related system changes Advise teams on sending architecture, new domain usage, and platform features impacting email Serve as the internal expert on deliverability science and mailbox provider behavior Required Qualifications 4+ years of hands-on experience in email deliverability, messaging infrastructure, or email systems engineering Deep understanding of SMTP, email headers, and delivery flow Strong experience with SPF, DKIM, DMARC, DNS, and sender authentication Experience managing IP/domain reputation and blocklist remediation Familiarity with tools such as Google Postmaster, SNDS, Talos, or similar reputation monitoring platforms Ability to analyze bounce logs and SMTP response codes Experience working with ESPs or custom sending infrastructures (SendGrid, SES, SparkPost, etc.) Strong problem-solving skills in complex technical environments Preferred Qualifications Experience in SaaS, marketplace platforms, or high-volume system email environments Familiarity with global deliverability challenges and regional mailbox provider behaviors Experience with automation, scripting, or log analysis (SQL, Python, or similar) Knowledge of security considerations related to email spoofing and phishing prevention What Success Looks Like Reduced bounce and block rates Improved inbox placement and sender reputation scores Faster resolution of delivery incidents Strong authentication posture and domain protection Reliable, uninterrupted system email performance Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Full-time Job function General Business Industries Aviation and Aerospace Component Manufacturing
