We are seeking a motivated UX Design Intern who can collaborate, learn, and contribute as a member of the innovative and global Lenovo eCommerce DX Design team. Ideal candidates should be passionate about making a difference, interested in user-experience principles, be well rounded, and thrive on solving problems. This role is located at Lenovo Corporate Offices in Morrisville, NC. We are on a 3:2 Hybrid schedule, 3 days in the office and 2 flex. Responsibilities Design System Management – Primary responsibility would be the organization, development, and distribution of Lenovo's design system. This would include defining and creating new or existing styles, components, and page templates. As well as contributing to the team's efforts to establish a method of distribution and training for others within our company. UI Design – Use design principles and tools, such as Figma, to create designs that take into account intuitive user experiences, our established styles, and business goals. UX Methodologies – Take UX design problems from high-level solutioning and analysis to high-fidelity mockups. General Support– Collaborate with UX Design teammates to support our general design needs with the ability to give and receive feedback. Advocate for Users – Actively champion user-centered design principles and own the communication of design decisions throughout every project. Presentation – Meet with the design team weekly to present updates on project areas and present a showcase of work to all relevant stakeholders at the end of the internship. Requirements Currently studying Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in UX, UI, Human Computer Interaction, or similar specialization, with key coursework that includes User Research and Usability, User Experience Design, Interaction Design; Graphic Design; Psychology; Information Architecture; or similar Experience in Figma or similar design programs strongly preferred Project management and organizational skills to manage projects with different deadlines and ability to prioritize tasks independently Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment Strong self-initiative Attention to detail Passion for learning and eagerness to make a difference Comfortable with presenting to diverse groups and the ability to provide and receive critical feedback Must be able to work in the office min 3 days a week throughout the summer term. 3:2 Office/Remote schedule We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and do not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, sex, age, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, status as a veteran, and basis of disability or any federal, state, or local protected class.
