Sergio Cabanas was born in Puerto Rico to a Cuban family shaped by resilience. After fleeing Cuba when their family farm was seized by the Castro regime, his parents were determined to rebuild. Raised by a hardworking father who valued education above all, Sergio learned early that knowledge is power. While his siblings pursued medicine, Sergio was drawn to justice and became the first lawyer in his family. But his path was also personal—he lived through a painful divorce as a child, separated from the father he loved. That experience left a lasting scar and inspired his mission: to protect families from the system that hurt his own. He made a promise—"If I ever become a lawyer, I won’t let what happened to my family happen to anyone else." That vow became the heart of Divorce Lawyers | Cabanas Law Firm.
