The Museum of Modern Art is currently accepting applications for a Development Officer, Foundation Relations with a primary focus on soliciting and stewarding gifts from Foundations for exhibitions, publications, film, education, and other Museum program areas. Responsibilities Works with Associate Director of Institutional Giving, Foundation Relations to strengthen and expand the Museum’s foundation donor base through active research and prospecting, thoughtful cultivation, and consistent stewardship. Conducts smooth and effective written and verbal stewardship of donors and prospects, through phone and email inquiries, onsite visits, and creation of written proposals and reports. Engages with donors and prospects frequently and proactively by phone and email to schedule onsite visits to the Museum’s galleries and programs. Greets and accompanies donors to programs, private tours, and Museum special events. Works with colleagues in curatorial departments, Conservation, Finance, Accounting, International Programs, and Archives, Library and Research Collections to collect relevant data on Museum activities. Drafts sophisticated proposals and reports for donors and prospects, including detailed project narratives, budgets, and reports with visuals as needed. Builds proposal budgets, conducts detailed financial analysis, and creates quantitative reports on funds and endowments. Performs any other duties reasonably related to the functions described above. Requirements Bachelor’s degree and three to five years’ relevant experience in grant writing. Superior writing, editing, and proofreading skills. Strong analytical skills and experience with finance/budgeting. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently on multiple projects. Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines. Experience working with a CRM database. Excellent interpersonal skills, both in person and over the telephone. Reports to: Associate Director of Institutional Giving, Foundation Relations Salary range: Minimum of $72,000 to maximum of $85,000 per annum Application instructions: To apply, please visit MoMA Jobs.
