About the role and team The core focus of this role is to be the dedicated Data Scientist for the Marketing team, working closely with our MarTech core data and engineering teams. You will leverage data science, including models like MMM, CLV, retention, and loyalty, to deepen our customer understanding and optimize marketing spend and returns. You will champion the data science roadmap for Marketing, identifying high-impact opportunities ("low-hanging fruit") to deploy new models and algorithms. What you bring to the table Proven Model Deployment: Solid experience deploying measurable value-driven models (e.g., regression, clustering, spend optimization). Expert Data Skills: Strong SQL for data manipulation and modeling, combined with powerful Python or R programming for automation and production-standard script deployment. Commercial Problem Solver: Ability to identify data-driven opportunities, prioritize based on commercial impact, and deliver actionable recommendations to stakeholders. Domain Expertise (1+): Experience in at least one of the following technical areas: Machine Learning (e.g., Scikit Learn, Tensorflow, Keras, XGBoost). SQL Analytics (e.g., BigQuery, Redshift, Databricks). Visualisation Tools (e.g., Matplotlib, Looker, Tableau). Collaboration & Communication: Confident in discussing complex technical and business topics across various stakeholder groups. What you will focus on Strategic Model Ownership: Own, maintain, and continuously improve our core CLV/LTV and MMM models. Innovative Model Development: Design and implement new, high-impact models, including: loyalty models for customer retention, cost optimization models for marketing spend, a new anomaly detection algorithm to spot unusual behavior. Translating Strategy into Solutions: Convert complex commercial challenges into solvable data science projects, delivering insights that drive strategy and key results. Automation & Scalability: Automate the training and deployment of models, ensuring the output is tested, scalable, documented, and includes checks for drift. Data Integration: Evaluate and integrate new data sources, aligning with Data Engineering best practices (dbt). Data Science Champion: Advocate for and champion the use of Data Science across the business. Nice to have/ Bonus Points if you: Experience with a range of advanced models (e.g., CLV/LTV, MMM, churn, attribution models, ARIMA). Comfortable using dbt for data transformations. Possess direct Marketing or Product experience. Experience with experimentation design and evaluation. Familiarity with digital marketing/martech stacks (e.g., GA/Adobe data). Are naturally inquisitive, detail-oriented, and comfortable defaulting to over-communication and coordination. Our global team of 800+ people is spread across six continents.
