The Project Manager, Content provides project management, workflow coordination, and operational support for the instructional design team delivering large-scale class builds, custom client programs, and standardized training products. This role is essential to keeping instructional designers, SMEs, and cross-functional partners aligned, on schedule, and supported through clear processes, documentation, and communication. The Project Manager is highly organized, detail-oriented, and technologically savvy, with a strong ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives while ensuring version accuracy, smooth execution, and continuous improvement across tools and workflows. This role requires an occasional presence in our Kansas City office. Duties and Responsibilities Lead planning and execution for large-scale training builds and custom client programs, developing project plans, timelines, and milestones while monitoring progress, risks, and dependencies across multiple initiatives. Coordinate work across instructional designers, SMEs, consulting partners, and cross-functional teams by facilitating kickoffs, alignment sessions, and ongoing check-ins, and by maintaining clear documentation of scope, requirements, timelines, and decisions. Manage project intake, prioritization, and scheduling for instructional design resources, supporting workload allocation based on capacity, deadlines, and skill alignment while ensuring transparency around timelines and handoffs. Oversee content and program versioning workflows to ensure updates are accurately routed, reviewed, validated, and published across systems. Maintain project tracking, dashboards, calendars, capacity tools, and reporting within Monday.com to provide visibility into status, progress, and resource utilization. Support operational excellence by developing, documenting, and refining SOPs, workflows, templates, and shared resources, identifying process gaps and recommending improvements to efficiency, quality, and scalability. Serve as a central coordination point for communication across IDs, SMEs, Sales, Consulting, and Program leadership, proactively communicating expectations, deadlines, risks, and changes. Leverage and support training technology platforms, including Xyleme and Monday.com, by managing workflows, promoting best practices, coordinating file management and version control, and escalating system issues as needed. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Education, Business, Communications, or related field—or equivalent experience. 3+ years of project management or operations/traffic coordination experience, preferably supporting content, training, or creative teams. Proven ability to manage multi-phase, multi-stakeholder projects. Strong proficiency in project management tools (Monday.com preferred). Technical comfort working in learning content systems (LCMS/LMS experience preferred). Excellent organizational, documentation, and communication skills.
