Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Developing and managing a practical content and social media plan across LinkedIn, Instagram and other relevant platforms, with scope to identify and test new channels where they could support audience growth and lead generation.
  • Creating carousels, infographics, social posts and other digital content from ideas and subject matter provided by the founder and wider Legal Illustrated team.
  • Identifying timely, topical and trend-led opportunities, including relevant legal developments, industry conversations and social trends that Legal Illustrated can credibly contribute to.
  • Creating, filming and editing short-form video content for LinkedIn, Instagram and other relevant channels, including helping plan and direct occasional content days.
  • Repurposing legal developments, business insights and founder-led ideas across different formats and channels.
  • Scheduling and publishing content in line with agreed campaign timings and publication dates while maintaining a consistent and recognisable brand voice.
  • Bringing proactive ideas for new content formats, campaigns and ways to grow reach, engagement, website traffic and inbound enquiries.
  • Supporting marketing and lead-generation activity, including identifying opportunities to turn audience interest and engagement into new business.
  • Reviewing content and channel performance and using insights, analytics and basic SEO and discoverability principles to refine the approach.
  • Supporting occasional updates to the Legal Illustrated website, including refreshing content and keeping key pages up to date.

Requirements

  • Experience creating and shaping digital and social-first content, ideally for a founder-led, professional services, creative or B2B business.
  • Strong creative and commercial judgement, with the confidence to bring recommendations rather than simply work from a brief.
  • The ability to take ownership of a content workstream, identify what needs doing and keep momentum without significant day-to-day direction.
  • Strong content creation skills across social posts, carousels, infographics and short-form video.
  • Strong writing and communication skills, with the ability to make technical or potentially dry topics engaging and accessible.
  • A good understanding of LinkedIn and other relevant social platforms, including what makes content perform and how content can contribute to audience growth and new business.
  • An eye for current trends, topical conversations and reactive content opportunities.
  • Strong creative instincts and the confidence to suggest what we should be doing next.
  • An understanding of digital marketing and how content can support brand awareness, engagement, website traffic and lead generation.
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities and deliver agreed content to deadlines.

Preferred

  • Familiarity with website CMS platforms, analytics and basic SEO is desirable.
  • Experience in legal, professional services, marketing, media or the creator economy would be helpful.
